SWARM, Vanessa O'Reilly, March 24th - 15th May 2006.
Pallas Heights, Number 29 Sean Tracey House, Buckingham Street, D1.

SWARM operates less as a theme and more as a descriptive process.
Swarm intelligence is used to describe systems typically made up of
a population of simple agents interacting locally with one another
and with their environment. Although there is normally no centralised
control structure dictating how individual agents should behave,
local interactions between such agents often lead to the emergence
of global behaviour.

SWARM operates along this premise. Aspects of synchronization within
the concept of swarm as a form is explored in the sound work, which
is another of O'Reilly's reworking of electronic and trance music.

Along side this is a hybrid text based rope light drawing, together
they diffuse and resonate in the temporal circumstance of 29 Sean
Treacy House.O'Reilly is undoubtedly an optimist who demands a
reaction to her individualistic affiliation to the world at large.
She is also an observer whose work is often connected to making a
sense of place. an intrinsic quality to the work is a nomadic
sensibility, an understanding of the shifting nature of possibilities
of display as well as the paradigms that surround and create each
and every opportunity.
